District Health Boards

There are 20 DHBs in New Zealand, each DHB has a suicide prevention and postvention plan and staff  are appointed to provide suicide prevention and postvention coordination roles.  Please contact your local DHB for information.

Te Au, the suicide prevention centre within Te Rau Ora, works with various groups and organisations to support a wide reach of communities to improve whānau wellness, resilience and strength.  With an emphasis on reducing and eliminating suicide in Māori communities, Te Au’s focus is to encourage organisations and community groups to work together for whānau well-being.
